HOW TO PREPARE FOR A DENTAL VISIT PROPERLY

☝🏻We recommend to stick to following rules in order to make your visit more comfortable and effective:

  1. Eat something before visiting your dentist (but not an onion please! :))
This simple action will decrease the probability of dizziness. You also need to remember that after some procedures you will not be allowed to eat for several hours.
  2. Brush your teeth and use floss beforehand.
  3. If you have a CD-disk with results of computer tomography on it, any X-rays results or an anesthesia check-up, take it with you.
  4. Wear comfy clothes and take off all the jewelry.
  5. If you have any chronic illness such as diabetes, hypertonic disease, bronchial asthma etc, do not forget to tell your dentist about it and take your medications with you just in case.
  6. Do not drink any alcohol for 4 hours before the visit and 1 day after if anesthesia has been used during the treatment.
  7. Try not to drink liquids containing caffeine before and just after your visit if the anesthesia has been used during the treatment.
  8. Tell your dentist what medicines are you currently taking, whether you have any serious illness and allergies.
  9. Plan your time. Sometimes the treatment might take more time than expected.
  10. If you know that you couldn’t come on time or you will not come at all, please, call us in advance.

❗️You should postpone your visit if:

  1. You have any type of oral herpes.
  2. You have any symptoms of a flu or other respiratory diseases (even without fever).
  3. You have rhinitis (running nose).
  4. You currently have your periods (for women).
  5. You have taken alcohol recently (it will decrease the effectiveness of anesthesia).

NB: Of course, if you suffer an intensive pain you need to visit your dentist regardless of the recommendations listed above. But you have to remember that to avoid some probable negative consequences, it is better to follow the recommendations listed above ☝🏻.
